PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve information display in a standby state with a simple configuration while reducing the power consumption, with respect to a display apparatus having a plurality of display parts. SOLUTION: After sending information that should be displayed on a sub-display to a sub-control unit 301, a main control unit 201 turns off its own power source to enter the standby state. In the case of return to a power-on state from the standby state, first the sub-control unit 301 is started up to request the main control unit 201 to start, and then information received from the main control unit 201 at the time of entering the standby state is displayed on the sub-display until the start of the main control part 201 is completed.
