PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a monitoring server from issuing unnecessary alarm information when a configuration subsequent to a monitoring apparatus is modified. SOLUTION: In a monitoring system, a monitoring apparatus 3 includes a setting change storage unit for storing as setting change time information the time when the configuration a device 2a, 2b to be monitored and/or of a facility connected to the device 2a, 2b to be monitored is changed. A monitoring server 5 includes a time information acquisition unit for acquiring the setting change time information being stored in the setting change storage unit. A monitor information sending unit sends the setting change time information together with the monitor information, and a monitor information acquisition unit compares the setting change time information acquired together with the monitor information with the setting change time information acquired by the time information acquisition unit.
