PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granular bleaching activator that exhibits excellent solubility. SOLUTION: The granular bleaching activator comprises (a) a bleaching activator and (b) a compound represented by general formula (1): R<SP>1a</SP>O-[(PO)<SB>m</SB>/(EO)<SB>n</SB>]SO<SB>3</SB>M (1). In the formula, R<SP>1a</SP>is an 8-18C alkyl group; PO and EO are a propyleneoxy group and an ethyleneoxy group, respectively; m and n are each an average added molar number and are a numerical number satisfying 0<m<20 and 0≤n<20, respectively; PO and EO may be arranged at random or in blocks; and M is a cation.
