DIAGNOSTIC TOOL FOR HIGH PRESSURE FUEL SYSTEM

A diagnostic system (13) for an engine (10) is disclosed. The diagnostic system has a sensor (52) configured to sense a parameter of the fuel pressurized by the engine, and to generate a signal corresponding to a value of the parameter. The diagnostic system also has a controller (54) in communication with the engine and the sensor. The controller is configured to detect a positive change in the parameter of the pressurized fuel and to inhibit starting of the engine if the positive change is not detected.
