<p>A coffin for use in an alkaline hydrolysis processis described. The coffin comprisesa dissolvable receptacle for a cadaver, the dissolvable receptacle being dissolvable in the alkaline hydrolysis process. A method of disposing of a cadaverisalso described. The method includes the steps of placing the cadaver into a coffincomprising a dissolvable receptacle;placing the coffin in an alkaline hydrolysis unit; andadding water and a chemicalinto the alkaline hydrolysisunit with the cadaver,to break down the cadaverinto a fluid component and a bone residue component and to dissolve the dissolvable receptacle of the coffinby alkaline hydrolysis.</p> |
