<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent having flexibility and sufficient strength and withstanding repetitive bending of the artery caused by the beating of the heart. <P>SOLUTION: This stent is formed into a substantially tubular body and extensible in the radial direction from the inside of a tubular body, and consists a tubular unit 4 by vertically connecting a plurality of cells 6 and aligning the cells 6 to surround the central axis of the stent, wherein the plurality of tubular units 4 are disposed in the axial direction of the stent and adjoining tubular units 4 are mutually connected by a connection section 5 at least at one section. The connection section is formed of at least one bending section 8, an arc constituting the bending section 8, and a substantially linear section 7 continued from the bending section 8, wherein the end of the bending section 8 is connected to the left or right end of the cell 6, the connection section 5 and the cell 6 have a fixed thickness, the width of the crest portion of the arc constituting the bending section 8 has 1.4-1.6 times of the width of the substantially linear section 7 and the width is gradually increased from the substantially linear section 7 toward the crest portion of the arc constituting the bending section 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
