PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof socket capable of securing waterproofness, and usable over a long time by suppressing deterioration due to an ultraviolet ray. SOLUTION: This waterproof socket 12 is provided with an outer shell 15 formed with a recessed part 16 for housing an end 13B (a base 14 and a light emitting surface 13A in the vicinity of the base 14) of a straight tube-like ultraviolet lamp 13 therein, and packing 18 interposed between the recessed part 16 and the ultraviolet lamp 13.
