PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal cell wherein peeling strength of a pair of substrates adhering to each other can be easily enhanced. SOLUTION: A transfer pad part 21 electrically connecting an array substrate 16 side and a counter substrate 17 side to each other is formed. A seal part 19 making the array substrate 16 and the counter substrate 17 adhere to each other is formed. An area increasing part 54 is formed at a part where the transfer pad part 21 and the seal part 19 are superposed on each other. Peeling strength of the array substrate 16 and the counter substrate 17 which are made to adhere to each other at the seal part 19 can be easily enhanced by increase of a contact area at the seal part 19.
