PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding container which enables the easy performance of stacking work of containers, which is capable of surely preventing a folding container stacked from plummeting down into a folding container thereunder. SOLUTION: It is only enough to keep a strip member 50 toppled sideways in a horizontal posture so that a compact container 90 can be mounted on the top of the folding container 10 while being turned assembled. This allows the strip member 50 to support the compact container 90 from under, preventing it from plummeting into within the folding container 10, even if the compact container 90 is mounted on the container 10 at a position shifted from a proper position of mounting on the folding container 10, while the compact container 90 is made to glide on the strip member 50 so that it can be shifted to the proper position of mounting. This means that it is possible to mount the compact container 90 at a general position on the folding container 10, after which to shift it to the proper position of mounting upon fine tuning, thus making it easier to perform the mounting operations than with a conventional method.
