摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an effect of a spacer to screen luminance in a FED (field emission display). SOLUTION: Spacers which maintain a spacing between an anode substrate and a cathode substrate are arranged on a scanning line with a spacing. Emission characteristics of an electron source connected to the scanning line on which the spacer is arranged are different from the emission characteristics of the electron sources connected to the other scanning lines. In order to compensate this, the scanning voltage VS0 impressed on a scanning line S(0) on which the spacer is arranged is made to be different from the scanning voltages VS1, VS2 etc. to be impressed on the other scanning lines S(1), S(-1), S(2), S(-2) etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
