PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic switch with a heat ray sensor facilitating attachment of a decorative cover. SOLUTION: Outer peripheries of a body part 41 of a housing 4 and the decorative cover 8 are circular when viewed from below. Locking protrusions 41h are formed on the entire outer peripheral surface of the body part 41 of the housing 4 to radially protrude outward. In the decorative cover 8, a plurality of locked protrusions 82a to be locked to the locking protrusions 41h are formed on an inner peripheral surface of a peripheral wall 82 surrounding the body part 41 of the housing 4 to radially protrude inward. The decorative cover 8 doesn't need to be oriented in the same horizontal direction as the housing 4, so that attachment of the decorative cover 8 to the housing 4 is facilitated.
