PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing member achieving heat radiation capability and an extended life by providing flexibility to the shape of a lamp electrode. SOLUTION: A functional gradient material FGM is formed with an insulating layer 11 containing an insulating material as a main constituent, a conductive layer 12 containing an insulating material and a conductive material and having conductivity, and an intermediate layer 13 gradually changing a coefficient of thermal expansion thereof by mixing the insulating material and the conductive material therein. An conductive metal shaft 14 is embedded in a state reaching the conductive layer 12 by being projected from the insulating layer 11 of the functional gradient material FGM, and made to penetrate the insulating layer 11 and the intermediate layer 13. An electrode 15 is electrically jointed to a part of the metal shaft 14 projected from the insulating layer 11. By jointing the electrode 15 in a step without influencing a step of forming the functional gradient material FGM, the degree of freedom can be provided to the formation of the electrode 15.
