PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which can regulates backlash in a connector coupling direction and in a direction perpendicular to the connector coupling direction and has less number of components and a reduced production cost. SOLUTION: The connector 1 is composed of a male connector 1a having an inner housing 5 to house a male terminal 2 for making an electric connection and an outer housing 7 for housing the inner housing 5, a female connector 1b having an inner housing 6 for housing a female terminal 3 for making an electric connection and an outer housing 8 for housing the inner housing 6, and a coupling member 20 for coupling the above male connector 1a with the female connector 1b. When the male connector 1a and the female connector 1b are coupled, a backlash regulating member 4 which makes a face-contact with the inner housing 5 of the male connector 1a and the inner housing 6 of the female connector 1b is arranged in the inner portion of the outer housing 7 of the male connector 1a or of the outer housing 8 of the female connector 1b.
