<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spin flow thermal conversion element and a thermal conversion element for thermally generating a spin flow and also obtaining its specific application. <P>SOLUTION: A thermal spin flow generating member 1 made of either a ferromagnetic member or a conductive member containing a ferromagnetic substance is equipped with a temperature gradient forming means 2 for forming a temperature gradient on the generating member 1. When the thermal spin flow generating member 1 itself is thus magnetized, difference occurs between an up-spin flow and a down-spin flow only by applying a thermal gradient to the member 1, whereby the spin flow is thermally generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
