PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector with built-in louvers that improves illumination efficiency. SOLUTION: The projector 1 with built-in louvers is configured as follows. An almost-conical main reflecting mirror 2 is provided so as to project light of a lamp 8, almost concentrically inserted from a bottom opening part 2a into the main reflecting mirror 2, as almost parallel light a-c from a projection opening 2b while reflecting the light by the main reflecting mirror 2. Arcuate or ring-like louvers 10a-10c are provided inside the main reflecting mirror 2 so as to regulate light diffusion of the lamp 8. Each louver 10a-10c is provided at a position closer to the main reflecting mirror side than the side of the inner diameter D of the bottom opening part 2a of the main reflecting mirror 2. An arcuate or ring-like auxiliary reflecting mirror 11 is provided at a position closer to the lamp side than the side of the inner diameter D of the bottom opening part 2a of the main reflecting mirror 2 so as to partially reflect light of the lamp 8 and to project it as almost parallel light d, e from the projection opening 2b.
