PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tripod type constant velocity universal joint having improved assembling efficiency and reduced cost by reducing the number of components, and being capable of effectively preventing the come-off of internal components from an outside joint member. SOLUTION: The tripod type constant velocity universal joint includes the outside joint member having three track grooves 5 in the inner periphery extending in the axial direction and roller guide faces 6A, 6B opposing each other on the inside wall of each track groove 5, a tripod member 2 having three leg shafts 8, and rollers 3 rotatably supported by the leg shafts 8 and rollingly inserted into the track grooves 5 of the outside joint member. On the outside joint member, a come-off preventing means M is provided for the internal components S including the tripod member 2 and the rollers 3.
