PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a wide wiping range while restricting overrun of a wiper. SOLUTION: When a high speed mode is selected by a wiper switch 3, a CPU 20 turns a transistor 32 on to be capable of feeding battery power. An information input terminal 22 of the CPU 20 is connected through a position information input terminal 40 to a position detection switch 10 to turn the transistor 37 off in a first range S1 around a wiper blade storage position and a second range S2 around a reversal position, so that battery power is fed from a second relay 35 to a Lo terminal of a motor 8 for low speed actuation. In ranges except the first range S1 and the second range S2, the transistor 37 is turned on to feed battery power from the second relay 35 to a Hi terminal of the motor 8 for high speed actuation. Since inertial force of a wiper blade 6 is restricted at the storage position and the reversal position, overrun is prevented, while wiping ranges can be enlarged. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
