PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step device for a vehicle, improving the operability of a step having a lifting function for improving convenience in getting in/out of a vehicle. SOLUTION: This step device for the vehicle includes: an opening/closing mechanism 29 interlocked with opening/closing operation of a slide door 2; and a step moving mechanism 50 moving a movable step 4 by transmitting power of the opening/closing operation of the slide door 2 to the movable step 4. The step moving mechanism 50 is provided with: a slide lever 34 for advancing and retracting a movable rail 14; an X-arm 41 having a pair of arms 42, 43 arranged between the movable rail 14 and the movable step 4; and a lifting lever 37 for lifting the movable step 4 by relatively moving the end of the arm 42 to the movable rail 14.
