PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a printing result using big readable characters without changing the overall printing layout by a printer 100. SOLUTION: From print data (1), a character size determination unit 5 detects the characters having the size smaller than a threshold value stored in character size threshold information (3) of a storage unit 4. An enlarging percentage determination unit 6 calculates the enlarging percentage to enlarge the vertical direction of the characters detected by the character size determination unit 5 and having the size smaller than the threshold value to the threshold value and sets it as an enlarging percentage (2d) of print font information (2).
