摘要 An apparatus for measuring and compensating residual phase error in wireless communication system is provided to minimize the error generated between a transmission and a receiving frequency and minimize the performance degradation of the receiving device. The apparatus for measuring and compensating residual phase error comprises a receiver(110), a despreader(120), a maximum value selection part(130), a phase difference measurement part(140), a frequency offset estimator(150), a phase compensation part(160) and a detection unit(170). The receiver receives diffused transmission symbols from the transmitting device. The despreader despreads received transmission symbols. The despreader produces despreading values corresponding to each chip. The maximum value selection part selects maximum despreading values corresponding to each symbol. The phase difference measurement part measures the phase difference between selected maximum despreading values. The frequency offset estimator estimates the difference of the receiving frequency and transmission frequency. The phase compensation part compensates for the phase of the transmission symbol. The detection unit detects the transmitted symbol.
