Tattooing pigments (I) with the following polycyclic base structures: (a) yellow pigments comprising a polycycle made from quinaldine and phthalic anhydride, (b) blue pigments based on anthraquinone, and (c) red pigments derived from the indigo structure, from two condensed 5-membered rings, each with a carbonamide group, or from perylene-tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride or di-imide or its derivatives containing naphthalene-tetracarboxylic acid as base molecule.
