The pad (1) has a roughly rectangular shaped-stamping surface (7) with two longitudinal sides (8, 9) and two cross-section sides (10, 11), where the pad is fixed around a counter punching cylinder (2) such that the two cross-section sides lie adjacent to each other. Permanent magnets are fixed in a region of the two cross-section sides, where the magnets hold the cross-section sides in a slot (5) of the cylinder by magnetic force such that the pad made form elastomer is held on the cylinder by magnetic force. The magnets are adhered on ferrous magnetic material and in groove of the cylinder.
