A personalised gift message transferral card 1 has a substrate 2 and a message layer 3 removably attached to the substrate by an adhesive. A gift message 6 personal to a recipient is provided on the layer 3 by someone giving (eg a book) and may be hand-written or printed. The gift-giver gives the book as a present to the recipient, along with the card 1. If the recipient decides to accept the gift, they can peel off the message layer and stick it inside the book to personalise it. However, if the recipient already has a copy of that book, and would prefer to exchange that book for another, they can stick the layer inside the exchanged book without defacing the originally given book. Alternatively, the message layer can be attached to the card by perforations or the layer may be of a "static cling-type" attachment. The card may be foldable to provide a free-standing card with visual information (eg a star) thereon. |
