FIELD: physics; computer engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to electronic displays. Proposed are a device and method of changing dimensions of serial electronic displays, as well as a display with altered dimensions, made using this device and method. The electronic display comprises a front plate, a rear plate, a seal on the perimeter, separating the front and rear plates, and image forming medium, put in the space between the front and rear plates. The main part of the display can be marked and separated from the surplus part of the display, for example by cutting and breaking the plates of the display, creating an open edge along the main part. Plates of the main part are pressed towards each other, for example to fasten or compress the main part. Glue is put on the open edge and pressure is released so as to draw the glue between plates along the open edge. ^ EFFECT: provision for custom made displays. ^ 28 cl, 6 dwg |
