The machine has a rotor (1) at which a carbon brush (9) is fitted in a resting condition under pressure of a compression spring (23) pressed in a given direction (11). A magnet core (19) and windings (21) increase the pressure on the carbon brush in an operating condition depending on the current flow through the carbon brush. A pressure controlling device has the magnet core freely moved in the given direction, where the magnetic core is connected with the carbon brush in a force-fit manner. A coil is arranged at the magnet core.
