A method for predicting the destruction of the urine concrements with the aid of the computer-assisted tomography. The density of the concrement is assessed and multiplied by its length in millimeters according to ten formula:α=L×Z/1000,wherein α– the index of concrement destruction; L – length of concrement in millimeters; Z – the density of the concrement in Hounsfield units. When α≤6, the probability of concrement destruction is 95 %. When α>6, the fragmentation of the concrement is possible only in 5 % of the cases. |
