FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to method of propylene oxide recovery from mixture (M) containing 5 to 15 weight percent and 50 to 85 methanol weight percent. The disclosed method involves (i) introduction of specified mixture (M) to an extractive distillation column; (ii) additional introduction of polar solvent to specified extractive distillation column; (iii) predistillation of propylene oxide from specified extractive distillation column at bottom temperature 40 to 70C and pressure 300 to 750 mbar.
