FIELD: heating. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed induction heating apparatus designed to provide for heating of a movable metal plate includes an induction coil enclosing the metal plate. The induction coil consists of an upper induction coil designed to be positioned above the metal plate and a lower induction coil designed to be positioned under the metal plate. In the metal plate longitudinal direction the upper and the lower induction coils are spaced by a fixed distance across the metal plate crosswise direction. Each induction coil, the upper as well as the lower one, is mounted at a slant near the metal plate edge area so that to form a tilt angle with the metal plate crosswise direction. ^ EFFECT: provision for the plate efficient heating by way of selecting the optimum displacement between the upper and the lower coils. ^ 9 cl, 14 dwg, 2 tbl |
