FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to increase compactness and efficiency of rolling mill for hot rolling of metal, particularly aluminium. The mill for hot rolling consists of roughing and finishing lines of rolling mill arranged as tandem lines whereon metal is rolled in tandem mode at common operation of at least two successively assembled rough and two successively assembled finish rolling mills. The rough line of the rolling mill together with the finish line of the rolling mill is designed to operate as tandem line; also rolling is carried out at common operation of rough and finish lines of mills in tandem mode in reverse mode. ^ EFFECT: possibility to produce band in economical ranges of length without connecting cuts of band billets. ^ 6 cl, 3 dwg
