A reader (12) e.g. RFID reader, is arranged on the transponder, and recognizes a pre-determined influence of the transponder or presence and absence of the transponder. The transponder is coupled to and directly attached at a seat belt (22). The transponder is arranged at an end stop (28) for a socket tongue (24) that is movable on the seat belt.
