Control signals provided by a controller (120) open the solenoids (52,54) so that the solenoids communicate fluid flows to the inlet ports (75,77) of a valve assembly (50) to move a valve (60) to two positions. The first position of the valve directs another fluid flow to the outlet ports (81,83) to shift the dual clutch transmission to two modes of operation.
