<p>An optical probe (1, 21) having a hand held device (3) with markers (4), a digital camera (5, 22, 23) for digitally imaging the handheld device (3) with markers (4) and a computer (6) for calculating the position of the hand held device (3) from the position of the markers (4) in the digital image. This allows the hand held device (3) to be used to take measurements wherein the digital camera (5, 22, 23) is a high resolution visible light digital camera and the markers (4) are visible light markers (4).</p> |
