A method of producing a high-pressure rubber hose, comprising the steps of forming an unvulcanized inner rubber layer on the outer peripheral surface of a flexible mandrel, forming on the outer peripheral side thereof an organic fiber reinforcing layer formed by knitting organic fiber cords in a 2-layer spiral form or 1-layer braid form, forming, on the outer peripheral side thereof via an unvulcanized intermediate rubber layer, a steel wire reinforcing layer formed by knitting steel wires in a 2-layer spiral form, laminating an unvulcanized outer rubber layer on the outer peripheral side thereof, and then winding the flexible mandrel around a drum for vulcanizing. <IMAGE>
