The method involves forming through openings (17, 18) in a frame (22) of a window (16) to connect the interior of a room of a building to the exterior of the building. A ventilation module (1) is placed in front or rear of the frame, where the module has an elongated case (2) for housing air extracting and blowing ventilators. Air extracting and blowing pipes (8, 9) are projected from the case and extended perpendicular to an axis of the case. The pipes are inserted in the respective openings of the frame. An independent claim is also included for a ventilation module comprising an air extraction ventilator.
