<p>The driver (1) comprises parts (4-1, 4-2) which can be rigidly interconnected. The driver is connected to a percussion mechanism (2) which is used to strike the driver in order to form the hole. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Driving method for forming a hole, in which a first part of the driver is used to form the hole, and at least one additional part which is elastically connected to the first part in a non-hinged manner is struck in order to make the hole deeper; and (2) Driver part for use in the hole forming device, having one end which is tapered in the length direction and one end which contains a locating cavity for the head of another part, the dimensions of the head and cavity being chosen so that space is left between the outer periphery of the head and inner periphery of the cavity when the two are connected together.</p> |
