A system and a method for setting up a system time of a Femtocell BTS are provided to set up the system time of a femtocell base station based on the system time of other base station through the relay of modem or a mobile terminal. A mobile terminal(100) transmits the system time information, which is received from other base stations, to a femtocell base station which is designated as an access point. A wireless data transceiving unit(210) receives the system time information received from the mobile terminal, and a base station modem(220) compensates the time delay of the system time that is initially set up. An accuracy detecting unit(230) requests the reset of the system time. A network interworking module(240) receives a signal related to a mobile communication service transmitted from the internet network.
