<p>A process for separating a material (2) especially for separating a component surface material for a vehicle, comprises using a laser (3). The laser spot impinges on the material and is guided along a separation line in the advancing direction, to form a separation point. The separation edges (8,9) and the adjacent material are sealed by heat treatment. Heated gas leaves a gas outlet opening and is blown onto the separation edges. The material contains fibres. The gas temperature is 200-600 o>C, especially 250-350 o>C. The arrangement used to carry out the process comprises a laser head, a separation head, a gas pipe and an optical arrangement.</p> |
