The engine has a set of cylinders and an exhaust gas turbocharger (5) having a multi-pass turbine (6). The turbine has a turbine housing (11), which surrounds a turbine wheel (10). The turbine housing has a set of blowing chambers (12), which extend over a peripheral angular area (13) and is distributedly arranged over the periphery of the turbine wheel. The blowing chambers are loaded with flow (4), where the peripheral angular area of one of the blowing chambers is of different size than the peripheral angular area of another blowing chamber.
