The method involves introducing pulsating flow into an aorta (2) of a patient in a flow direction (15) of blood, and additionally introducing the pulsating flow to the flow of blood circulation, which is produced by a roller pump (5) in a heart-lung-machine (4). Temporary pulse waves in the pulsating flow are transferred to a vessel of the aorta, which succeeds in the flow direction of the blood. An independent claim is also included for an intervention assisting device comprising a pump.
