The arrangement has an exhaust gas pipe (4) for conducting an exhaust gas (1) to a processing unit (3) that acts as a catalyst for selective catalytic reduction of pollutants i.e. nitrogen oxide, and an accumulator (5) for storage of a reducing agent e.g. ammonia, or a precursor substance of the reducing agent. The reducing agent develops a reducing effect in the processing unit such that a heat conducting contact of the accumulator is indirectly equipped with the exhaust gas pipe via a heat transfer medium e.g. calcium chloride, that is circulated in circulation circuits (11, 12, 13, 15). An independent claim is also included for a method for reduction of pollutants contained in exhaust gas of an internal-combustion engine.
