The present invention is intended to monitor the liquid level in a domestic-type container, which consists of two modules: the first module is useful for sensing the liquid level in a container and transmitting said information in a wireless form to a second display module where the information is interpreted and displayed in a screen where the user may read it, a sound alarm being included for indicating when the level reaches its minimum point. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a systemic tool for allowing the liquid level in a container to be known in a wireless manner, wherein the operation and installation thereof may be performed by any person by means of a process which makes the information accessible for the user.
