A drain arrangement 1 comprising a sleeve 2 having a perforated base 6 and a bead 9 held within the sleeve, the bead buoyant in a fluid flow 5 away from the perforated base (direction A) and the perforated base 6 having a slot (12, Fig 2) to remain partially open when engaged by the bead. The drain arrangement may comprise a plurality of beads, where the bead are preferably spherical, may be formed from polystyrene and may incorporate a biocide. The invention seeks to prevent odours emanating from the waste outlet and to inhibit backflow conditions. The invention particularly relates to drain arrangements for urinals. |
