This invention relates to a process and a plant for the heat treatment of solids containing titanium. For this purpose, the fine-grained solids are heated to a temperature of 700 to 1000 °С in a reactor with circulating fluidized bed and are partly discharged from the reactor together with waste gases into a downstream separator. In the same, the solids are separated from the waste gases and arc recirculated to the reactor at least partly and/or phase by phase. Downstream of the reactor and/or the separator an injection cooler is provided, in which the solids are cooled to below 250 °С by injecting a coolant. Downstream of the injection cooler a fluidized-bed cooler can be provided for the further cooling of the solids. |
