摘要 A method for selectively separating xylene isomer by using guanidinium meta-terphenyl 4,4'-disulfonate as a host is provided to purify xylene isomer of high purity with high efficiency by using guanidinium meta-terphenyl 4,4'-disulfonate showing different affinity according to a xylene isomer. A method for selectively separating xylene isomer comprises a step of separating xylene isomer having different affinity with guanidinium meta-terphenyl 4,4'-disulfonate by mixing guanidinium meta-terphenyl 4,4'-disulfonate with a mixture of xylene isomers. The mixture of the xylene isomer is a mixture of ortho-xylene and meta-xylene, a mixture of meta-xylene and para-xylene, a mixture of ortho-xylene and para-xylene, or a mixture of ortho-xylene, meta-xylene and para-xylene.
