A multiple-speed mechanism of lifting and lowering a load of a bridge type crane contains a drive, a cargo cart and a rope. On the end beams at least two mechanisms of lifting and lowering of load are stationary installed, on drums of which the rope is fixed, which is connected with a load-gripping device through the guide pulleys installed on the carts with individual mechanisms of movement for changing the distance between them and angle between the branches of rope.
