Method for prediction of effectiveness of surgical treatment of patients with cancer of large intestine includes implementation of visual and palpation control of abdominal cavity at surgical operation. Before operation and at 3-4 day after operation in blood serum one determines indexes of ferritine by method of radio-immune analysis. At its high initial level (140±30.8 mkg/l) and same or some higher compared to initial level after-operation characteristics (183±47,9 mkg/l) one predicts short term of remission. At characteristics 96.2±18.2 mkg/l gefore operation and substantial growth after operation to indices255±54.3 mkg/l one makes positive prediction on 5-year survival term.
