Process to prepare plastic workpiece with embedded magnetic for coating by electromagnetic process

In a process to prepare e.g. an automotive plastic component (1) for coating (O) by an electrochemical process, a number of particles (P) are embedded in the workpiece and are subsequently magnetised. The particle magnetic properties control the coating process. The plastic component is made by an injection moulding process in which the particles to be subsequently magnetised are admixed. The particles are magnetised after the plastic has set.
