A voice mail system and a method of processing a call in the voice mail system are provided to supply a voice main service to a subscriber having an MSISDN assigned from another service provider in a VMS of a specific service provider, thereby providing a continuous voice mail service. A prefix database(430) stores prefix information of a mobile terminal providing a service. When the prefix database is changed, a TCP(Transfer Control Protocol)/IP(Internet Protocol) processing unit(420) notifies a memory unit(440) of the change. When the change is notified, the memory unit resets stored information and reads and stores prefix information from the prefix database. The prefix is set correspondingly to an MSISDN(Mobile Subscriber Integrated Service Digital Network) of the mobile terminal. |
