SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FLOOR CONTROL IN A PUSH TO TALK OVER CELLULAR SESSION

A system and a method for managing the floor in a push to talk over cellular session are provided to enable a PoC client acquiring a chairman position of a corresponding PoC session to control the floor according to flow of real media contents. A PoC(Push to talk over Cellular Client) terminal(200) includes a PoC client(202) for maintaining a PoC session. And the PoC terminal is classified into a chairman PoC terminal or a general PoC terminal according to whether to acquire a chairman position. An XDMS(XML(eXensible Markup Language) Document Management Server) stores information of the PoC terminal which is connected to the PoC session and can be called and the chairman PoC terminal. A PoC server(250) generates and transmits a message by referring to information of the general and chairman PoC terminal. The message requests or controls data and the floor between the general PoC terminal and the chairman PoC terminal. The chairman PoC terminal performs control by admitting, rejecting or canceling the floor in the PoC session.
