An opening and closing mechanism of an automotive flip-up glass is provided to open the flip-up glass while the convex shape of the leaf spring is transformed into the concave shape. An opening and closing mechanism of an automotive flip-up glass comprises a leaf spring(50) which is attached to the upper side of a glass hinge base(21). When a hinge arm(22) is opened around a hinge(22a), a convex upper side of the leaf spring is transformed into the concave shape. The leaf spring includes lateral flanges which are formed so that it is mounted on the glass hinge base; a vertical unit which protrudes vertically in the inner side of both lateral flanges; and a convex portion connecting two vertical units. The convex part is elliptical. The upper end of the hinge arm contacts with the convex part so that a flip-up glass(30) is opened when the hinge arm rotates around the hinge.
